That's interesting and shows that when you actually bite the bullet and confirm is important.

I'm wondering if these prices are all the same fare class of ticket, by which I mean that the price will vary as Virgin release discounted fares throughout the year. In fact, it's not unusual for a fare to change during the course of a single day as the cheapest are snapped up.

I suspect that the list contains a variety of fare classes which would go some way towards explaining the differences.

We looked at Virgin using miles plus money and compared them with just money. The amount of miles we needed was not worth losing and paid the whole fare instead.

It shows the earlier you book the cheaper it is.
We just booked our flydrive with Virgin for next Nov 09 if the price does come down then its tuff luck for us, if it went up any more we wouldnt be going.
I have been checking the prices for 18 months knowing we would be booking for 2009 and from last year to this the price for that time of year has gone up around £500!
I have booked this early because i know we would not be able to afford to go if the prices go up any more.
    Thanks Ian

I always say if you are happy with the price of the tickets, book them. We ended up paying more a few years ago as we left it to the last minute.
