What's Going on with the Dollar rate???

The Moneyshop gives a good rate usually. Paddington Station also has a good Exchange shop but can't think what it is called.

our shops are slowly (very slowly) starting to rise a bit ....Ramsdens is $1.48...and the post office $1.46...i'll try to hold out and see if it goes above or around $1.50.

Our local Asda was 1.48 today so hopefully it will pick back up to around the 1.50 mark soon.

Thomas Exchange Global do the best rate I can find, have a look at their website. they have offices in london but they will post currentcy as well

I agree Sandra, I use them as just down the road from where I work, but they do post and their rates are so much better than elsewhere. If you go at lunchtime, you can wait up to 50 minutes as there is always a bit queue.

Minor recovery in the exchange rate over the past few days and it's over $1.54 this morning. You should now easily get over $1.50 retail.

Just topped up my FairFX card - got 1.518 so happy with that for now. Of course the rate will now climb and I will be regretting not waiting until next week. Never mind eh!!!
