You should have had an email from John or Roger saying payment had been declined with a link to resubmit your card details, DO NOT RE ORDER AS YOU MAY END UP WITH TWO CARS.

The email I received is below
Thank you for your order at www.uscarhire.co.uk.
This email has been automatically generated by our accounts system and is to let you know that we have been unable to take payment for the following reason:
    Payment declined
You may add / update your credit / debit card details securely online from the following link:
    secure.orlandovillas.com/uscarhire-co-uk/SelfService.aspx?id
This does not affect your booking provided our supplier is able to take payment prior to your car collection.
Please DO NOT place a new order for this car. Simply use the link above to update your card details so our supplier can try again. Placing a new order will result in a second car being booked for you.
Once you have updated your card details using the link above, the 'declined' message on your order may take a while to clear

I re submitted it and everything was fine

The banks always say it is nothing to do with them. We had a payment in this country declined in Asda (quite a few years ago now) and asked for another card, which I don't have. Asda said it was nothing to do withem, the bank said nothing to do with them! I think it is probably the bank telling porkies[msnwink]

I will have our supplier re-try payment. Banks often say there is no problem when there is = then payment miraculously goes through. You will receive either your voucher (if OK) or another email to say declined if not.

As long as the card is a standard card (not a Visa Electron or Amex) then there is no reason for it to fail from our point of view.

It's not cancelled, but just declined. I've sent you an email, but your bank should be able to give the reason (note, it is not us nor our supplier that decline payments, but your card company). They should be able to see the attempts that have been made and then tell you the reason.

This happened to me a couple of weeks ago - I was paying our HOA fees online. 2 minutes later had a call from the credit card company fraud department asking if I had made the payment etc etc. I said yes all is ok, then I had an email saying payment had been declined so I tried again and it was still declining! Eventually I rang the credit card company and was told try again in 15 minutes and we will remove the block. Now, the original woman who rang didn't mention that the payment would be declined or that there would be a block on it. Very frustrating!
