    ticket and planning advice

    Hi all

I know you have probably had this question directed you too many times to count but here comes another one.

Basically, myself and approximately 8 friends plan to visit florida in the early part of 09. We are all adults (Mid-Twenties) and we plan to go for three weeks.

In this time we wanna see and do pretty much everything orlando has to offer if thats possible. Parks/things we wanna do include:

    #61692; Busch Gargens
#61692; Disney World – MGM Studios
    #61692; Universal Studios
    #61692; Islands of Adventure
#61692; Disney World – Magic Kingdom
    #61692; Disney World – Epcot
#61692; Disney World – Animal Kingdom
    #61692; Seaworld
    #61692; Wet and Wild
    #61692; Water Mania
    #61692; Blizzard Beach
    #61692; Cocoa Beach
    #61692; Kennedy Space Centre
    #61692; GatorLand
    #61692; Daytona and race circuit
#61692; Jacksonville – brewery tour perhaps
    #61692; Boggy Creek Airboat Rides
    #61692; Discovery Cove
    Miami for a weekend maybe.

We also wouldnt mind having a look into
    Downtown Disney
    Universal Citywalk
    Citywalks Latin quarter
    Pleasure Island at Disney
for the evenings, as well as downtown orlando etc..

Now I know thats alot, and some people will say we will be exausted by all that, but the plan is to do one a day, and mix up more tiring parks next to more relaxing ones. Now ive had a look at the ticket website you offer on this site and disneylands home page and cant quite work out the cheapest option. Now obviously if its cheaper to doo all the disney ones within 14 days of each other then we can arrange that etc. Is one of the Fun in The sun ticket packages the way to go?

And any advice generally will be appreciated!

Oh and is there any decent parks which are worth a day that ive missed out????

    Dave

Firstly, cross off Water Mania (closed years ago) & Pleasure Island - closes September.
You might add Aquatica & Typhoon Lagoon....
If you manage to 'do' everything, you'll need a months recovery time !!!!
Bear in mind that a major park day will last about 10+ hours - all footwork.
Unfortunately, the 'more relaxing' parks - ? waterparks also require lots of footwork if you want to do the flumes.
    Blisteritus footus maximus usually strikes.
You'll also need to factor in 'malltime' - There's a tradition that you must overspend & return to UK with overstuffed cases....
If you want to do Discovery Cove, book WELL in advance or you'll loose out.
Martin (park tickets) will give you much better advice re. ticket prices....

I remember a list like then, then I went to Florida. Soon found I couldn't do it all. Seven trips later I still have quite a few on my list to visit.
Florida has lots to do and see but don't forget to rest and enjoy as well

You'll only manage this itinerary with oxygen for breathing and speed. Bear in mind that when you leave Islands of Adventure or Universal you are instantly in Citywalk and can wander about or take in a restaurant/club as you leave.
If a brewery tour is what you're after then you can get a mini one at Busch Gardens and of course enjoy your complimentary beers (plural)-
Don't see the point in doing multiple water parks I'd just pick one and go for it and unless you're there for the bikers week Daytona Beach is just a beach so I'd stick to Cocoa( the beach not the drink)
Please don't forget to be flexible in your itinerary as you will need to alter it as you go-I'd list the absolute "Musts" and then the "Would likes" and work round that-The shopping malls (I'm a bloke) are amazing so don't discount these

Lol i knew i would get replies like this I guess i could put in a few more rest/mall days. The reasons for the water parks is to put em between the park days - surely they are alot more relaxin.. Maybe daytona may get dropped too. I know if i make a plan then when we get there, it will be thrown out the window - but hey, im excited!

Anymore must do's in the orlando/kissimee area?? is there a rodeo, that could be a fun evening.

Lol at Water Mania - i remember going there when I was 12!

    Dave,

Get a nice big villa and use the pool for a rest day or morning before shopping trip for example rather than the water parks.

The itinerary is not that different to anyone esles first visit apart from a couple of quirks I would not bother with such as the brewary ans may be daytona (which is fine if your really into motorsport). I would buy the following tickets:

Boggy Creek Airboats (combine this with a day at a water park).

    http://www.park-tickets.com/disney-p...xpiration.aspx

4 day Disney base with free upgrqde to 5 days.Covering the following for a day in each then one more day to go back to favorite (over 14 days).

    Magic Kingdom
    Epcot
    MGM
    Animal Kingdom

Then our new 7 day play package http://www.park-tickets.com/other-pa...e-package.aspx covering:

    Aquatica
    Wet n Wild
    Universal
    IAO
    Sea World
    City walk

For nightlife you cannot beat City Walk so I would think twice about going down to Miami. with the above ticket you have free access to all CW night clubs.

I have just been oiver for a 18 day trip and we did, the folowing over 14 day period.

    MK,
    AK,
    Ecpot,
    MGM
    Boggy Creek
    KSC
    Universal - twice
    IAO - 3 times
    Aquatica
    Blizzard Beach
and other non pay venues.<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by daaaave

    Thanks for the replies..

Couple of questions,if the disney ticket expires after 14 days but we wanted to go into city walk for example how much does that cost? secondly what is IAO?

mARTIN I THINK YOUR SUGGESTIONS COVERS EVERYTHING, EXCEPT bUSH gARDENS (oops capitals) so i guess we just buy an extra ticket to get in there.Things like gatorland etc can we just buy on the day i assume.

    Dave,

If you want a ticket to include Busch Gardens, just buy the 6 park flexi ticket. See the link below for more details
