SUV/4x4 or full size car

Hi, we are hiring through this site for Orlando Sandford in august, we are 4 adults with 4 cases and cabin bags. We were going to get the full size car but after reading this site it seems most people go for the SUV. Will this give us a lot more space for luggage than the full size car?

We always used to rent 4 door intermediate and full size cars for 3 adults + 3 large suitcases and cabin bags and found the boot/trunk space just adequate. For a couple of years we were lucky enough to be upgraded free to a Chrysler Pacifica 6 seater which had loads of room but I believe they are harder to find now.

Last two journeys we have rented a mid size SUV and received a Toyota Highlander which had
more than enough space to take all of the luggage behind the rear seats without any adjustment. (If your 4 suitcases are large perhaps the full size 4x4 would be more spacious again? eg Jeep Cherokee)

I fully agree with Kevin, the 4x4's have plenty of room and are great to drive. Book via the car-hire link here on the forum and you will also get a great deal.
