    Continental flight - update

My orginal posting was under http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums/topic_46447.asp.

My forthcoming problem over a Continental flight timing which changed after purchasing the ticket leaving me with 65 minutes at Newark has taken a further step forward.

Continental’s only solution at the time was for me to spent $45.00 for entry to the President’s Club at Newark to wile away my 6 hour stopover.

Following comments from Ceri and Dom I persevered and pestered Continental who trotted out the usual ‘consolidated flights’ excuse but they have now sent me a voucher for one visit to a President’s Club, valid for one year.

    A result at some level!

It is disgusting that you HAVE to pester to get satisfaction.

They change your arrangements and expect you to accept the inconvenience with no fuss.

Well done Clare - Hope you have a great wait in the Presidents Club at Newark

    Really good news.

We have just heard our onward flight to Orlando is now bought forward by 10 minutes. now have 1hr and 40 to catch the flight. Need a little wind assistance through Newark.

I booked flights with BA for my mum and dad and they had a stopover in Gatwick on the way home of 2 hours....not too bad until I got an email from them the other day saying that that connecting flight to Glasgow has been cancelled and they will now have a 7 hour wait in Gatwick [msnmad]
I asked if they could be given access to the Club Lounge and was told no.
I have written to them to complain and I will see what they say. They do have an Edinburgh flight leaving from Gatwick which would give them a 3 hour wait, have asked they be moved to this but not holding my breath.....[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad]
