    Parking at Orlando International

    <span style="font-family:Arial">Hi all,

8 of us travelling to Orlando International (4 adults, 3 children and a 4 month old baby)!

I have booked a limo for 5 of the party as a surprise but that leaves me, my wife and our 4 month old baby at the airport to collect our 8 seater SUV from Budget with all the luggage (another reason for booking the limo was that we wouldn't get all 8 of us in the SUV along with luggage, baby seats, pushchairs etc..)

Only option i can think of is to leave my wife and baby with ALL the luggage while i go and get the SUV then drive to where she is (preferably right outside the terminal building) to load everything up.

Any ideas on doing this anyone?

Also, does anyone know where the limo will be parked to pick the rest of the party up??

With the best will in the world, i cannot manage 8 peoples luggage and all the rest of the gear on my own while my wife holds the baby!

    Thanks in advance.

I believe that Buget is within the Terminal and the car is only in the car park opposite. So you could get a porter to help you with the luggage - they have large trollies to transport luggage and this might be your best option. You could ask them to wait while you do the paperwork on the car and then get them to take you and the luggage to collect your car. Your wife could even sit in comfort in the Terminal building, where the car hire desks are, until you have got the car and sorted out the luggage, then you could walk back over the road and collect her - that way she and the baby won't have to wait around while you pack the luggage into the car. It really is not far from the Terminal to the car pick up point.

I also wonder if you could not put some of the luggage in the limo so that you don't have so much to deal with, especially as you have a young baby as well.

Hope all goes well and that you have a wonderful time.

Thanks Ellie, that's a good idea.

I had visions of the car being quite a way from the terminal building.

I have pre-registered with Budget so apparantly i just go to the booth in the car park rather than the terminal desks to pick up the car??

With it being so close i think you're right with putting some luggage in the limo and i will sort out the rest while Melanie and the baby wait for us in the airport.

    Thanks

The porters are more than willing to transport your luggage and wait for you while you sort the paperwork for your car. They even load the luggage into your car/van for you. It allows your group to stay together, saves any struggle and is worth a few dollars tip for the porter. They also know the best routes from one area to another.
    Have a great time.

Just make sure when you hire the porter that he know you want him to transport your luggage to the car and not just to drop it off at the car hire desk. They need to know that you want them to wait around while you sort out your car.
