    Getting Married

    Hello All,

well im new here and also have news that me and my partner have decided to get married in Florida July 2010

I know this may seem a long time away but there is much planning to do.

I wondered if anyone could give me some advice with the following future plans,

We are hoping to get married at the Gaylord Palms Hotel Kissimee we visited the hotel last August on holiday in florida and really liked the place to be honest it could be described nothing more than out of this world. But we are open to other ideas if anyone has any nice venues they know of, there will be about 17 of us in total.

My next problem is finding 2 villas which are side by side and our familys will be spilt in 2 has anyone heard of any villas that are side by side also we will be visiting florida for 3 weeks.

I thank you all for taking time to read my post and look forward to all your responses many thanks

    Laura

Hi Laura, congratulations on your coming wedding [cheers]

The best way to get started on your villa search would be to put in a general enquiry to the 3 site above

    http://www.orlandovillas.com/
    http://www.villasflorida.com/
    http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/

And be very specific about your requirements in the comments box. Many of us on these sites can offer homes next door or a few doors away as we take time to get to know our Florida neighbours.

    Laura,

we got married at the Hard Rock Hotel in orlando 5 years ago. We married down by the waterside in a little shaded area covered by Weeping Willows so you couldn't see us unless you were at the wedding!

There were 16 of us, we had the reception at the hard Rock Cafe (upstairs in the private function rooms! not the cafe downstaird!) it was AMAZING. We had a private roof terrace that overlooked city walk and it was just perfect!

We had 2 villas on the same development - just 2 roads away from each other - if that is ok then you will easuly find 2 villas on the same development!

If you have any questions PM me.

    Congratultions!!!!!

Hi i know there are a few owners that own a couple of villas on this site, you want to look at how many people will be going, therefore how many bedrooms you need.We stayed at a lovely 3 bedroomed villa in crescent lakes a couple of years back and the owner also owns a bigger villa just round the corner.Crescent lakes is a great area and worth looking into while deciding your vacation.Hope this helps a little, and what a great place to get married[clap]

We got married in Orlando Sept 07. This site is a great find and everyone will give top (honest) advice.

We did the Disney wedding which we would highly recommend.

It is much less hassle, we were in swimming at 10am and thinking how relaxing it was. The hairdresser arrived at 11 and the limo came at 1.30 and then at 2 for me. If we had been at home we would have been stressed out our minds making sure everyone else was organised.

    Good luck with your plans.

We got married in May at the villa we rented. It was so relaxing. We got married at 11am, nice and cool, and by 1pm we were in the pool chilling out. There were 13 of us for the day, we got lots of platters of deli food from Winn Dixie and Publix, lots of wine and champagne and chilled out. In the evening we had a van take us to Texas de Brazil for an evening meal.
A really lovely day. If you want any details of people we used, DM me.

We have attended a Florida wedding, it was on a beach at sunset then to a lovely local restaurant for a celebration meal. If I had mine to do all over again it would be in Florida.

The newly married couple then spent their honeymoon in a villa in Kissimmee and had a great time.

Have fun planning your wedding, there are plenty of wedding threads with lots of helpful tips and information on the forum.

    [cheers][cheers][cheers]
