alamo car hire and sat nav

Hi am going to Orlando in August picking up car at Sandford staying at windsor hills. am wondering if I need to get the sat nav and if it is only available delivered to uk. Not keen on taking it with us is there any way of picking it up with car? Do we really need one we will be travelling around the usual parks etc and going over to the coast. can you advise thanks

It's really quite small Deborah and would hardly take up very much space in your hand luggage and it will be programmed with the majority of places that you want to visit when you receive it. If you are going to the coast, then just let them know when you order it and they'll do their best to program that in for you too.

It will also have the drive directions from Sanford airport to your accommodation so all you have to do is take it out of your hand luggage and splat it on the car at the airport, just press 'home' and there you go.

Hello,
we have small units and they are very easy to carry. Also ours are now programed with the exact locations of the parks (I am here right now doing this). Mostly the sat nav's own files are slightly out. Plus we will pre prgogram you unit for you with the accommodation address.
You may be able to get a unit when you collect the car (cannot be pre booked) but they will also ask for a rather large deposit on you CC.

Does SAt nav come standard? I wanna know cos im hiring a car when I come to Orlando in sept (again!) and dont know if I should bring my sat nav yet....

[sporty]Hi i've had a hired sat nav for the last two years and they are very good and compact. No probs about taking it with u and just post it back when u return home. Comes fully loaded with all the places u r likely to go to. cheers..
