    Hi,
In December/January Denny's had 3 different breakfast deals at $4.99 + about $1.30 for drinks with free refills.
They are cooked to order and the portions are huge (more than you can eat.
Hence I think their high quality makes them far better value than the Ponderosa/Golden Corral buffets which may be cheap but are very mediocre quality.

I am not so keen on the Denny's evening meals as they have the same run of the mill menu items that you get anywhere else.
I prefer to try specialist steak/rib/fish/barbecue/italian restaraunts etc.

Thacker is on the 192 - about a mile east of the Super Wal-Mart that is by Medieval Times. The IHOP is on the left as you head east [msnsmile].

We don't like IHOP at all, we'd rather go to a diner instead.

It takes all sorts Amirah - we'd prefer IHOP to a diner any day ourselves [msnsmile]

IHOP also have English style thin pancakes ( crepes) as well as the usual hotcakes. These are cakked German, French or Swedish pancakes and come with orange, lemon or berry sauce. This is the nearest you can get to a Shrove Tuesday type pancake.

Maybe they have superb customer service down there in Orlando, but the IHOP table service up North are terrible. We'd choose a Waffle House anyday and they serve hominy grits which IHOP doesn't.

That sound like it might be the problem Amirah - the IHOP we mentioned above has 1st class service - we are now treated like a member of the family when we go in and have even had an invite round to Tatianna's house [msnsmile].

They definitely do grits too although I'm not sure if the "hominy" makes a difference as I never order grits.
