    MCO airport arrivals

Hi everyone sorry if I'm not posting this query in the correct place but here goes, we are flying into the MCO airport and have been told that all suitcases etc through 2 carousels, is this right? Also how far are the car hire depots from the luggage collection points? I know how stressed my OH can get [msnwink]

The carousels changed last year Margaret and ,if you wish you can now take your luggage on the tranist but you CANNOT take trolleys on there so have to be able to manage your luggage by itself. You do still have the option of putting your luggage on the second one but since most of oour delays have come from there we opted not to and found it much easier.
Although I havent been since it was opened I have heard there is an escalator which goes straight to the tranist

If you are flying direct in via Virgin or BA, then yes there are two carousels, but you can opt to take your luggage with you on the shuttle, as long as you have oe checked in bag each

If you are flying indirect then there is only one carousel.

You are right, Steph, the escalator leads straight up from where you drop off your luggage to the transit area which was much easier. We didn't drop off our luggage but took it with us up the escalator and I had 2 checked in suitcases, so it was a bit of a struggle but we managed it, and it was SO much quicker. There was nobody to stop you taking any amount of luggage with you as long as you could carry it between you.

I made sure a long time ago that we could manage our luggage without trolleys as its so much easier. With the 4 wheel cases they are easy enough that we are ok.

On our last 2 trips direct in with BA we were able to miss the second carousel and carry the luggage ourselves. Although it was a bit of a struggle it's sooooo much faster

Depends if you have more suitcases than hands, Steph.[msnwink]

There are 6 of us so am sure that we would be able to manage a suitcase each, is it very far to car hire pick up?
