    non-direct flights to orlando

Hi all, can anyone help with this at all.
Went direct with Virgin, LGW to MCO on last visit. Have looked at other airlines, mainly because of cost etc, that are flights with 1 stop. Has anyone experienced any delays when getting to first destination and then missing connecting flight? Where does it leave you and would you have to pay for another flight. Have never flown on indirect flight.

As long as you leave enought time between connecting flights, you should be fine. We normally use connecting flights from bristol to newark and leave about 2 hours or so, have done it with 1.15mins ,but that was a real sprint through.

We fly DELTA via ATLANTA and as said before have a little time for contecting to the other plane also you can have a drink or do some shoping as there are lots of shops .
We have had no problems and it breaks the flight up .

Hiya Blueskies, we flew with Delta to Atlanta a while ago and had 90 minutes for our connection, which we were assured would be ok, unfortunately it was the pilot's last flight before retirement.

There was a ceremony where some fire engines sprayed a water arch for the plane to go through.

As a result we missed our conection and they payed for 10 people to stay in the Atlanta Raddison over night as our next flight was 6.30 the next day.

we have gone Glasgow , philly, orlando and also Glasgow ,Newark, Orlando several times with no problems what so ever.
The U.S airlines I believe are great at getting to another flight should you miss a connection.

We once missed our connection after being delayed at Manchester, we flew into Washington and were put on the next available flight which was only about an hour after the one we missed. As said the American airlines are very good at getting you on the next available flight and it hasn't put us off as we are flying out again in two weeks and again we're flying indirect.

Dont worry Ann, 9 times out of 10 you will not miss your connection and if there are delays that cause you to miss it, the airline will get you on the next available flight and it wont cost you a penny.

Wow, you must have had skates on Ceri!!! [msnsmile2] Its the queues through the Security that there is normally a delay on, but there is never a problem about being put on the next flight anyway.

Jan it's not so bad on the return flight as you don't have to go through immigration. 1 hour 15 should be plenty.
