I am hoping to stay in a villa, probably in the Davenport area for 3 weeks. Would anyone be able to advise how easy it is to book flights to Las Vegas once we are over in US. Is it cheaper to book over there or better to book in UK before we travel?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.

The price of flights rises as the flights get more full. I faced the same conundrum on my last trip.
It works out much cheaper to book online as soon as possible, to avoid any hikes in the fares.
My internal flight price rose from $150 to nearly $400! Also, most US airlines let you choose a seat as soon as you book, so you get the best choice of seats the earlier you book.

Thanks for that Tony, will probably book online as soon as I have definate dates.

That is not always the case, it depends on the loading of the flight.
They sometimes release seats from the inventory in a cheaper category.
2 months ago I flew from Orlando to California(with American) booking at 4 days notice because the price had halved from a couple of months earlier.
2 years ago I flew from Orlando to Las Vegas again booking at very short notice because the flights had been drastically reduced in price.
Certainly if the flights are approaching full loading then prices increase greatly as the departure date approaches.
To Las Vegas you will probably find mid-week flights cheaper than the weekend.

It isn't possible to make such generalisations. The price from day to day might change for all sorts of reasons and will go both up and down over any given period.
If you see a price you're happy with, book it. If not, wait and see if that price comes up in the future.
There are a number of budget airlines for internal flights in the US, jetblue and spirit are just two

We have just flown from Las Vegas to Orlando with US airways. It was a direct flight and I booked the one-way flight about two weeks before we travelled while still in the UK,. It cost about $190 each but we could have got the flight cheaper if we have travelled from Las Vegas in the afternoon, but we didn't want to arrive in Orlando really late at night. From what I remember US was one of the few airlines flying direct.

$214 is about the cheapest for jetblue one way...that can be as near as a few days away...or a few months away...its just luck if there is enough seats going at that price...
I just got a ticket from Boston to Olando for $94 one way....my flight is only days away...and cheaper than this time last year...
American are offering $286 return with 1 stop--SouthWestern are offering non stop there at $194 and one stop return in san antonio for $194.
I don't like Southwestern I really want to get on the plane once I have my ticket...I can get to FL for $49 with them..but I'd be happier to walk...
