We always take a few "home goodies" with us on holiday, these include Muffins and Breakfast Cearals, we declare them each time and never have a problem.

What you are not allowed to bring in is anything that is classed as a fresh fruit / vegatables, meat products and diary products, so no chedder !!!

If you get caught they will fine you !!!

When we went last summer we took a cool bag on the plane with assorted food in it. We planned to dispose of the remains (we had most of it left) when we got off the plane. I spoke to the guard who had a dog to declare what we had and everything was fine. We had cooked chicken, open crisps, bread, ham sandwiches etc. He said as long as it was cooked it would be fine. We took everything in to the states with us.

I would think that what you have said will be fine.

We are over at Christmas and my MC has asked me to bring over Mince Pies and a Christmas Pud. How do you think we stand with these items as I wouldn't want to bring in things not allowed and besides I don't like them anyway!!!

    Thanks
    Jen
