    Car Hire 21-24

    All,

As U-Save do not have a UK distributer at the moment I was wondering which is the best company to go with?

    Roger,
You previously mentioned a possible deal with another car hire company to waive the young drivers excess, any updates on this front?

    Tom

We have heard the U-Save product should be back on any time now, but that could still mean weeks yet.

In the mean time, see this link for the Budget Young Drivers Package which is the best other option at present.

Hi Roger, USave are doing the same offer (under 25) via another agent now, you might want to look into it

What i mean by the above quote is that USave seem to have a new UK distributor now.

Some agents are indeed taking orders, but the contracts have not been finalised yet so we don't want to risk problems (we could take orders now but they would actually just be held on file until everything is finalised, and we prefer not to do that). The new UK distributor was agreed a little while ago, so we're nearly there.

    Hi all!

First post on here, and also first question... i'm sure they'l be many more!

We're a party of 5 all aged between 22-25, off to florida on the 31/08/08 - 16/09/08, and we need to find a hire car company, can you tell me how long until we can book with U-save again? as we need 3 of us listed on the car! And Budget just seems to allow 1 driver.

Also what car would you advise getting? We're currently looking at Sebrings and similar, will that fit the 5 of us... (Only 3 guys, and 2 small girlies[msnsmile2])

    Thanks

Frustratingly, still no definate time-scale for U-Save. Still waiting on contacts, which is very slow.

Hi Simon, welcome to the forum Those girlies may only be small, but can they shop [msnwink] I would guess all of you will start with at least one case, so you would be wise looking at a car with more space. It may help if some of you have tote style squashy bags, but if the car you hire doesn't fit all your baggage in, then an upgrade will cost a lot of money on the day
