    Fuel charge on pick-up

    Hi,
I originally posted this question on the wrong forum (got carried away by enthusiasm), so I re-post it here in he hope that someone can answer.
What is the current charge for a tank of fuel when you pick-up a 7-seater van from Dolar at Orlando Intl. Airport ?

If you go for the gold option it is included in the price - not sure about the silver option though

We got "all inclusive" but it does not include the tank of fuel - we have to pay on pick-up. Just wondered if their fuel costs have risen as dramatically as ours

On the Silver option Dollar will charge up to around double the pump price on Silver. The pump price is currently around $4.00 per gallon and Dollar are likely to charge around $8 per gallon. This will probably equate to around $110 for the tank on a 7 seater.

If you specifically tell Dollar (when you collect the car) you want to return full, they should allow this, and then not charge the tank of fuel. If so, you also need to make a point of telling the check-in clerk that the tank is full when you return the car. If Dollar still then charge you for the full tank, then let me know when you return, and we can have them refund the fuel charge.

Yes, fuel prices have increased to around $4 per gallon. That is why we always go for the gold option as it really is exceptional value. They normally charge more than the 'going rate' for the tank of fuel on pick up.

Roger, from another posting on the forum I don't think Scorpio has booked a car through yourselves.
