Hiya
Still searching for flights, has anyone ever flown with Delta before. Never spoken to anyone yet who has and a bit wary after my experience with Icelandair!
Any opinions good or bad?
Thanks

Delta are a big US based airline with an extensive domestic and international network. I think I'm right in saying that they've just started a service from Heathrow under the Open Skies agreement to add to others they already operate from other airports around the UK.
I haven't flown Delta for a while but I don't think you need have any concerns. They're a completely different outfit to Icelandair.
We used Delta for the first time earlier this year and I couldnt fault them. The staff were really nice, slightly older than some of the airlines and nothing was too much trouble for them. They give you a small bag when you get on the plane which contains an eye mask, moisturiser, toothbrush and toothpaste, earplugs etc. I would definately fly with them again.

Hi Pamela
I have flown with Delta on a few occasions and can't fault them. The staff are great and we would definitely choose them again. I don't think you will have any problems.
Have a great time!![]()

sets my mind at rest a little, when you google for Delta reviews they are all negative but I guess no one goes online to report a good experience, only when they have had a really bad one.
Does anyone know what their entertainment is like, on BA we had seat back tvs the last time but their flights are coming in at 75.00 more per ticket and flying into Tampa and not Orlando! I know not a major issue but my other half will want to know!
We have flown Delta several times (to the extent we have had several free trips with SkyMiles) and can not fault them.
Not all their planes have seat back TV's but they are getting new planes and upgrading so all transatlantic planes may have them by the time you fly.

That might depend upon the route. I think it's more likely than not that there'll be seat back monitors.
We fly with them once at least once a year and we've not a had a problem. Last year we flew 3 times with them to atlanta then onto other us cities. 2 of the 3 flights over the pond had seat back tv's. The internal short hop flights as a rule don't have the these sort's of tv's.
We didnt have seatback tvs on our flight to Atlanta. You can check which films will be shown nearer to the date of your flight on their website.

Hi we flew with Delta at Easter and was very happy, the only thing is that they seem to have a connection at JFK which isn't the best to connect but the food was great and after ordering a child's meal for my youngest, my older one was most upset at missing out on chips, chicken nuggets and beans, usually you get sandwiches or something for the kids, so overall a good experience
