Just a note of caution, last year we had a 45 minute wait at the bag drop after checking in online. The same staff at the same counter were dealing with both bag drop and ordinary check in. It was hopeless, although from Blott's comments it's clearly not always like that. Having tried both methods, I would go for Downtown Disney.

[msnembarrased] This last time just 90 mins before take off.

We like to use the Downtown Disney service. We dropped our bags at 9.30 and there was noone else there. It meant we could leave our bags and then we went into the Magic Kingdom to enjoy our last day! If you have booked through Virgin Holidays you get it for free. If through another agent you have to pay I think but its not much.
