Alamo vs Budget

Thinking of renting from Budget at Sanford airport - through this site of course!!

Have always rented from Alamo but I can get a cheaper deal from Budget and an upgrade too

Anyone have any comments about either/both?

We haven't rented from Budget but a benefit of Alamo is that you get to choose the car at the airport. If you have booked say a full size, go to that row and choose any you like.

We have booked with Budget for the summer because it was the only one that allowed you to take it back full. I don't like that bit of having to gauge the 'emptiness' of it and if you get it wrong you're running back to the airport on fumes! It was a cheaper deal too. As we have used this site for our last 2 trips with such good service I couldn't imagine they would use anybody who wouldn't deliver the same.

We got back last Saturday and used Budget for the first time in Sanford, it was great, no queue, nice car and out of airport after landing within half an hour, will certainly use them again.

Where are Budget at Sanford?

I know Alamo were to the right of the terminal and Dollar were just to the left after you crossed the road from the terminal.

If Budget are quieter and have the same standard of cars as Alamo i may use them through this site for next year.

Where are Alamo situated in MCO?

Out of customs hall and turn right and they are in the next terminal with car pick up in the multi storey car park.

We have just returned from Orlando
We rented with Budget from Old Town on the 192, we were not impressed as the car was dirty, inside and out.
We had to return the car because of a steering problem, the replacement car was clean on the outside but had not been valeted inside.
We have rented with Budget before in Miami and didnt have a problem.
Perhaps we were just unlucky.
Next time we will go with Dollar on the 192.

Sounds like you were just unlucky, as they normally are pretty good. It's always worth complaining (on collection of the car) if you are not happy with the cleanliness of the car allocated, as they are usually pretty keen to keep customers happy.

We are just back from Orlando,used Budget at Sanford,the female staff member could not have been more helpful,no hard sell upgrade tactics,the car was lovely too.
