I would send an enquiry to through the "Flights to Florida" link at the top of the forum page. They have experience with flying to Florida and will be able to quote you some specific prices. I hope that helps. Also if you can be slightly flexible with dates that sometimes helps.

You are looking at Easter holidays and that always puts up the prices. Just keep looking , try airline network, Virgin, American Airlines as the prices do change quite regularly.

I'm afraid flight prices are going upwards and schedules are being cut at the moment for a variety of reasons, not least the oil price. On top of that, school holiday dates are very popular so not many bargains at that time.

The best advice is to be realistic on price, decide what you are prepared to pay and keep looking. If it comes up, take it as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there's no guarantee that it will but there's always a fair chance!

The key thing is to keep checking - prices also change on a regular basis - we are going in July and struggled to find a flight price below £650 per person, when finally we stumbled across a Virgin Manchester to Orlando direct flight for £450 which we then booked - when I'd previously check it the price for that route was over £600 - the next day after booking the price was up over £750!

Good luck and keep trying - sort out your flights first before trying to sort your accomodation out.

Also, airlines such as Virgin Atlantic and BA will have sales and special offers and it is worth keeping an eye open for these. We also use some of the US airlines, e.g. US Airways and stop/change at Charlotte before our onward journey to Orlando.

Type in your details to [name edited] and check it twice a day (say 10am and 10pm)every day and if you see anything below £450 book it immediately.

If you can overlap into the term that helps cut the price too. We are going in August and by going 4 days later than we first wanted and therfore going into the September term a bit saved £1000! That was for 4 adults (2 children in that category!) and 1 child.

Sometimes in the peak dates of holidays it might be cheaper to fly indirect to another US airport and then down to Orlando. What you tend to find is the other US routes tend to be quiet over holidays as most business travellers are on holiday etc. My advice is keep looking at be prepared to book a good offer if you see it, don't wait.
