    Thomson flights

    Hi

Has anyone flown to Orlando with Thomson since they upgraded the planes - ie larger seat pitch, personal tv's.

Would be interested to hear your views, especially on the Premium Economy.

We flew them a year ago and their premium service was very good. It is not far off the Virgin Premium service of old. The seats were new and were better than the old Virgin ones. As you are let off the plane first it saves you a lot of time clearing immigration too.

    Overall worth the little extra.

We flew with them for the second time in May this year. We didn't do premium but economy was fine. The seats are much bigger and more comfortable than virgin.

We did not have the inflight meals (I bought meal deals from Boots air-side). YOu can buy sandwiches etc on board too but they seem to sell out quickly. Not many people had the onboard meals.

A couple of things to note are: you do not get flight socks etc and you only get blankets on night flights, so take something warm.

Drinks wise I think it cost us £7.50 for 2 double G&T's, so about the same as you would pay in a pub I guess.

The staff were extremelly helpful and cheerful.

    Thanks for the replies.

I've got a dilema in do I book Thomson now for next October, as they have already been released, or wait for Virgin flights which won't be out until November. They will probably cost the earth and in the meantime the Thomson flights will have gone up or be fully booked . Aaaaaah it's never easy!

Go with the cheapest - there really isn't enough difference between the transatlantic economy products on offer to justify paying over the odds for a particular airline.

I would book the Thomson flights if it was me. You will kick yourself if the Virgin ones come out and they are more than the thomson ones.
