    Sat Nav

    Hello,

I am travelling to Florida for the first time in July and was wondering if I needed Sat Nav or do you think I would be ok without it?

    Thanks,
    Claire

We rent quite few units out and everyone is always very pleased they had it. It does save a lot of frustration and keeps tempers cool in the car

I always tell all my guests that there are plenty of sign posts and directions to most places you want to go.

However when they want to go back home after a long day they will not find any sign posts to my villa.

Just get in the car hit the HOME button and it's the end to a perfect day with no arguments about which road to take.

That is when sat nav is most useful, the return home. Some parks send you out a different way which is disorienting. Sat nav is also great if you want ti venture further afield.
On a holiday in france my son and I use to drive off and get hopelessly lost and found some wonderful places. The minute we were stuck we would switch the sat nav on and away we went. It does not matter if you are off map (as we frequently were) as it will still guide you back to a road.

Another great use is finding the right exit ramp when coming off at a major junction.

A Sat Nav gives you a distance countdown when approaching your exit, so no more missing the right road or emergency braking when you realise you are just about to pass the junction you want[msnmad]

We have been to Florida for years and never used a sat nav hubby does not like them and prefers his maps. I dread to think how much time and petrol we have wasted over the years! This year we were going to North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia before driving through to Florida so I said we ought to try one. Result - we will never go to Florida again without one. They make life soooo much easier and stress free.

    Hi Florida4sun,

Could you tell me how much it would cost to hire one for two weeks and if you have any available for my date? I am leaving on 18th July.

    Thanks,
    Claire
