Hi Roger
Could you advise me on the best way of hiring 2 different size cars during our upcoming 3 week stay. For weeks 1 and 3 we will need a car for 5 of us but in week 2 we will need a car for 6. Should we book 3 separate cars or would it be better to arrange some kind of upgrade for the middle week.

I would do a quote first with option 1 car each week and see how it comes out. Pick the gold option if only a week selected, it is cheaper this way.

Also try looking at the car for 6 for the 3 weeks, if might not be that much more, also if you are going to go with 1 car for 3 weeks, then find out how cheaper it is to use the silver option, as it can sometimes work out cheaper to buy for the gas at the desk.

If you do decide on your first scenario then you do need to make 3 seperate orders. Keeping each one exactly 7 days is going to be most cost effective.

Taking 1 car, and arranging some sort of upgrade for the middle week will work out very expensive, as it would need to be arranged locally when you collect the car.
