Car Hire Help

Hi All
I am just about to book my car hire in Orlando (from this sites link).
I want to just ask a couple of questions first as I don't want to get it wrong, I will have two adults two children and one teenager and am prob going to hire a full size 4 door, in the picture it shows an estate car, will I deff get an estate car when I go to pick my car up? as we will have our suitcases to fit in 1 large 2 meduim 2 small? I don't want to get there and our luggage doesn't fit, this is our first visit s am a bit confused as when I go to other sites they show different cars. Also does it matter which car hire I go with as I want to pay for the gold package, are they all the same?
Sorry if this is loads of questions but I don't want to have to worry about upgrading when I get there.

In terms of car models, there are several you might be allocated. One of the possible car types is the Magnum which is an estate. Other models typically offered can be seen here http://www.uscarhire.co.uk/CarTypes.aspx

Don't bank on getting the Magnum, you have equal chance of getting one of the others. They are all nice cars, but as the others are not estates you can not assume you are able to take more luggage.

So if I didn't get a magnum and ended up with a slaoon would this be big enough for our luggage? I don't want to take too much luggage as I know I will have a washing machine in our villa but may want to buy things (will) when I am in th US.

i think you'll be fine, if it's only getting the luggage from the airport to your hotel/villa then i would have thought whatever you got you'd manage. I say this, as the last time we hired a car was when we went to Menorca, the 4 of us (2 adults/2 kids) had a fiesta, we didn't scrimp on the packing/cases, pickled people springs to mind, but we managed.

hi Shelley. Last time we went we had an intermediate and upgraded to a full size and really stuggled. There were 2 adults, 1 teenager and 2 children. Shoe horned luggage in around children! We did have a saloon. We have booked a 7 seater for the summer through here. When we haven't got luggage at least we can seperate the kids if they're arguing!

For the difference in money, book the 7 seater. We currently have a full size but don't think you would get the luggage in you suggest if a saloon is allocated.

If you are going for 2 weeks, definately book the gold.
