What is it that makes you log on to OV

Continuing from the poll to see if we are addicted to the OV Forum, which many of us seem to be, can anyone put a finger on what it is that makes them continually log on/off throughout the day.

I doubt if there is a cure for this addiction by the way[msnwink][msnwink]

So many things make me log on Sandra, since selling the villa it is slightly less [msnwink] Generally it is the info of what is going on in the Davenport area,where we owned, Disney and other attraction updates, love the pictures people share, car info , roadworks info, catching up with friends when they are online, finding info on new places to go when in Florida, still plan to visit at least twice a year[msnwink][msncool] I think that is the main areas...I am sure there are more[msnsmile2]

That's an easy one for us. As part owners of the site we have nurtured it and watched it grow from it's humble beginnings in 2002 into an incredibly useful resource for anyone travelling to Florida with lots of helpful experts out there to answer just about any question anyone has about Florida.

We use the forum for planning our own vacations, keeping up to date with things in Florida when we are not there and keeping in touch with friends, many of whom are still with us from the very early days of the forums. There's also probably a very long list of other reasons we are on the forums all the time...

well.......i love being part of this forum, its not just about florida, it feels like we're a kind of family, we all help each other, we offer advice as to good places to eat, obviously to stay, car hire, good prices for the flights, we laugh together, we cry together, we feel each others pains and happy times, (particularly for me, when i was taken ill after getting off the plane with gall bladder problems, my knee surgeries, my new baby grandchildren) i could go on and on
there is always someone to talk to or a question to help with, i find particularly since having my knee replacement surgery last year i spend more and more time at home, must admit i did find it a little quiet of late which i think wasnt the norm, maybe all the chatty ones were having a great holiday in florida???
my son Russ made me my own webpage with all my favourite websites on so i can just click on them and the main page comes up, very helpful, when my fingers and wrists are sore and swollen makes it easier for me to log in!![high5]

I first logged to keep me informed of what's going on in Florida - gradually I've got to know more about the the people so now I log on for that as well. Like Liesa says it feels like a very large extended family.

I log on continually throughout the day because there's always something new to read.

I have discovered so many useful snippets of information over the years, that have saved me time, headaches and even money! What more could anyone ask?

I log on as I have learnt so much from all you wonderfully helpful people over the last four years since I met my other half and took over running this "business"!! I often save snippets of information that I pick up and months later I find that this "treasure trove of information" that I am building has within it, exactly the answer I am looking for. I have read daily about peoples holidays, families, down-times and successes and been congratulated when I have had a good day, and commiserated with when feeling down and despondent. My other half can't see the attraction, but I wouldn't be without you all now for all the money in the world.

For me it's talking to like minded people i.e. either people who regularly vacation in Florida or other villa owners. I have learned so much from this forum and am still learning.

I love going to Florida so much and my holidays are enhanced by all the friendly help and advice given freely and honestly by my on line friends. We all have a strong love of Florida that bonds us all together. What I really appreciate is the genuine offers of help and support that so many of you give, it lifts my heart![msnsmile2]
