    Thomas Cook Flights

Has anybody flown with Thomas Cook to Orlando? Our son and his girlfriend are coming over for a couple of weeks when we are there this time and have booked flights with Thomas Cook. We have flown with MY Travel before and didn't bother to pre book meals but they gave them to everybody anyway. I was wondering if THomas Cook are the same or if they will need to take sandwiches etc ?

They would have preferred to have flown Virgin but money is tight for them and they got a very good deal with TC

We flew with Thomas Cook in 2004 and they were excellent.

At the time everyone got meals, you didn't pay extra.

Am actually flyin thomas Cook to Portugal in 3 weeks time so i can give an update on their short haul flights at least then,

We have booked flights through Thomas Cook but it's a Monarch flight and includes meals for £250. We are going out from 3rd - 10th May. Will report back what the flight was like!

We flew Thos Cook on thursday; free meals and drinks and the airbus had more leg room than Virgin and BA.

Do take a book as the entertainment system does not have much variety and several of us had channels that did not work

We flew with Thomas cook to SPAIN in MARCH to COSTA DEL SOL and you had to pay for meals ,But long haul you get meals included in the cost of the flight .
The plane we were on was one of the last MY TRAVEL before it changed over you Thomas Cook and coming back it was the same crew and they had just got their new uniforms .
We have flown with Thomas cook to Sanford and the flight was very good there and back and staff on board was good too and no delays .

Sounds good. When you say free drinks I presume it's just soft drinks? Also you say free meals they asked for £17.00 each extra when booking for meals. Did you pay this or opt not to but still got a meal?

Ring Thomas Cook direct and ask them if long haul is meals included if you have booked with a agent it may be they are trying to take more money of you .
We spoke to one agent and he had none left for Thomas Cook and another agent wanted payment for meals and I ask him would meals be included if he had anu left and his comment was they do not charge extra on long haul so see if you can speak to them direct first .

We did not book meals, were told they were included.

We only ordered soft drinks, so I cannot advise you on that.

We have been on planes where peoplw have been given the meals when they had opted out but a bit risky I would say on a long flight

Thank you. I think I will tell them to take some food in case they don't get any. Don't think the meals are worth £17.00 extra !

We flew with Thomsonfly and if you did not order the meal and pay for it then you were only allowed to sit in the back 5 rows. They did not give out free meals to those who had not ordered them and paid for them. If you did not order the meal you could not choose your seat either, as you could not sit further forward in the plane if you had not paid for a meal! Luckily we found out about this before we went, as we would not have liked to have been stuck right at the back of the plane.

So don't assume that by not paying for a meal you will get one free - they are getting smarter.
