Easter 2009

Hi

(not sure if this should be in 'Easter' forum?? but here goes)

Does anyone know what the Easter 2009 holiday dates are? Only I am looking at going to Florida April 2009 and would prefer to go once the children's Easter hols finish. Don't want to sound a pooper but would prefer to miss the busy time.

April 12th is Easter Sunday 2009, 4th April for 2010

Easter 2009 is the 10th to the 13th April.

Some school areas have changed to equal term holidays while others still have the full holiday over the Easter period.

Bottom line is that the Easter period has now extended, however Easter is 3 weeks later than this year. I would guess that any time from the 18th April onwards would have less UK children.

You can always google when the easter dates are for any year for future reference.

As Kazzie said go to google, type in Easter dates and hey presto you get loads of info.

I would think after around 21st April 2009 the holidays would be thinning out as far as schools are concerned and a quieter time in Florida would begin!

Our schools have changed the term so that the spring holiday is always the first 2 weeks of April rgardless of when easter falls. In 2009 though it falls right in the middle of the school holiday with Easter Sunday 2009 being April 12th (my eldests 6th birthday as it happens).

This year has been strange as a lot of working people took holidays at easter and then the schools are off now meaning we have a very elongated easter holiday this year.

The whole country has been random for easter hols this year, we live in suffolk and kids broke up thurs 20th march and go back tues 8th april, friends in essex broke up 28th march and still have 1 week of hols left, family in Devon have only just broke up fri 4th april and have 2 weeks ahead of them [msneek] has made it difficult catching up with everyone this year.

Essex Easter holidays for 2009 are from Monday 6th April for 2 weeks.
