Is the villa you're about to book from www.orlandovillas.com or www.villasflorida.com or www.onlinefloridavillas.com? - if so you will be fine, all the homes are verified by the site owners to give guests peace of mind.
If you have any concerns you can always email the owners and ask for a reference from a previous guest or their management company.
As Caroline has said above if you book from here you will be fine - can't say the same for other villas[msnsad]
By using the links above you have one on one contact with the owner. You will know exactly where the villa is located and what features it will have.

If you use these sites you are sure you get the villa you see and as said before they are all verifed .

I'm sure that Mark would be reasured if you could explain what is involved in a villa / villa owner becoming verified.
This link explains how it works: http://www.orlandovillas.com/VerificationScheme.aspx

I've checked this over and my reading is that you confirm that the villa exists and that the owner is who they say they are, which is reassuring.
The owner also provides their home address and telephone number. Do you confirm that this is authentic ?
It would be very easy to do but we're actually more interested in if the villa exists and is owned by the person who claims to own it. Where their home address is does not really affect this.
If any guests still wants re-assurance, they can email in with the villa ref number and we can check up to date records online to confirm the owner still owns the home.

Do you confirm that this is authentic ?[/quote]Most of our guests have been incorrespondence with us so will know the phone number etc is genuine as they will have paid their balances and deposit to us, personally. It gives them the reassurance that we are genuine and also to degree us. Don't forget that whilst Guests may entrusting us with their holiday funds, we are entrusting them with our homes worth many times that.
That's one of the advantages of booking direct with the owners as you can build up a rapport and answer individual questions. Once the full payment has been received, then the Guest has the full address of the home and can then check out for themselves anything they may be uncertain of.
As we have to provide recent utility bills to verify our homes which include the US address and often the UK one as well, if our bills are mailed to the UK, it provides reassurance that everything is as it should be.
Of course that's not to say that ONLY homes on these sites are genuine, many of us advertise our homes in many places so they are just as genuine whichever advert you pick them up from, whether it's our own website or here, just that you can check with someone independant if you wish, although most homeowners appreciate that the Internet can be a bit nerve wracking when buying so will provide extra details if required.
