    Too much stuff!

My daughter moved out last week; I knew that she had a lot of clothes, but the actual amount left me flabbergasted. Her summer tops alone filled one large suitcase.

My gast was flabbered again later in the week when my son moved into her room: this time it was not his clothes but hundreds and hundreds of CDs, computer games and DVDs.

When I moved out of the family home (at the tender age of 19) all I had was a few singles and a couple of LPs.

We all go through it ,I remember my 2 sons took all the best games and left all the broken ones .
Then they complained a home was expensive to run .
We still spend on them so you will see them as it cost so much more than they expect [msnsmile2]

We have had our 2 eldest boys move out and my eldest daughter is at Un[msnsmile]i I cannot tell you how much she took to uni [msneek] trouble is she will be bringing all back in the summer, the boys have their own apartments in Manchester now so we have converted the 5th bedroom into an extra home office/studio for DH which means I have the study/office all to myself[msnwink] Still have 2 little ones at home though with so much stuff and DH is the worst he has more CD's, DVD's and software than anyone else I know[msnscared]

All 3 of our boys have moved out and moved back [msnsad] at some stage!! The amount of stuff they took and the amount they left behind was amazing. Our loft is still full of bags and boxes they are 'coming back for'!!

Our daughter changed rooms last year to the biggest bedroom and I the amount of 'stuff' she had was incredible! the 3 double fitted wardrobes are full to the ceiling!

And like you Heather, when I moved out at 19 a couple of suitcases was all I needed! Our daughter will need 2 40' articualted lorries!!

We fear when our two finally move out they will never take all their stuff as they have so much our lofts are filled with all their toys which they always took care of so are not damaged. I did try and get them to take them to a boot sale but so far have not been successful.

Frances, one of my boys moved out and left most of his toys in the loft too. He won't get rid of them as he says they are now 'collectors' items. I think he is probably waiting for them to go up in value before selling, either that or he is still a big kid at heart.[msnwink] He was into transformers and we must have almost all types and some double figures.
