    Best beach with kids ?

Hi, sorry if this has been asked before.

We're staying in Davenport early May and are planning a day to the beach. What would you think would be a nice beach to go to with kids ? We specially look for a place where they would rent beachumbrellas for the necessary shade.
We generally like the gulf coast beaches best so are at the moment thinking about St Petersburg or Clearwater but other tips are welcome !

    Thanks allready,
    Peter

This may sound silly but Typhoon Lagoon is the best

Passe grille at St. Pete's is my absolute favourite place, the beach is lovely, not too crowded, the sea is blue and not rough, you can get sunshades, there is a shop that sells beach toys etc and a place to buy snacks and drinks.....perfect !

We are over in May and will be going to Clearwater Beach, it's an easy ride down the I4, the sand is like flour and they rent umbrellas and chairs for some shade, and easy parking right by the beach.
    Have a great time

We always have at least 1 day at Clearwater and have no problem hiring the umbrellas and beachchairs.

Thanks to all for your replies, we know Clearwater from years ago but wasn't sure about rentals.
