Just wondering if you can take your own sandwiches, crisps etc on a Virgin flight or will you have to give it up at the baggage check?

I always take my own scoobie snacks on the Virgin flight. Obviously you can't take drinks through security but you can buy them airside to take on. Food is no probem either as long as it sensibe enough.

Like CDV I always take nibbles as I cannot abide plane food and the only thing I usually eat is the biscuits and cheese. You get whatever drinks you need anyway ( hic ! )

If you buy drinks "airside" KEEP THE RECIEPT [msnsmile] one time I was asked to bin the drink I bought before going in the VA departure area.![]()

and remember dont take any fruit across the water !!
you can have it on the plane but they dont want our fruit taken into their country.
we forgot and had to bin loads of it last time.
still it saved a fine $200 each piece we were told.
OK-just to broaden this out-I actually find that I have to refuse food on the flight because i am usually stuffed-the only snacks we take are sweets for our ears (not in our ears!!) Am I odd?
I take cashew nuts in case I travel in economy as I don't like the snacks they have [msnwink]
