You can pay extra and reseve the exit seats apparently but you have to do so at the check in desk (Not online). Has anybody had any success witth this, I suspect it's a 'done deal'?

We have been asked at Miami airport if we want to upgrade to an exit seat. this was with Virgin and we decided against it.
That's encouraging Jill, personaly I'd jump at it. Did you get there really early?
We were there fairly early as we had less traffic on the route than expected. We had even checked in on line so were very surprsed to be asked at bag drop if we wanted to pay the extra and have these seats.
Here's hoping then, thanks Jill
I have paid at Orlando checkin (Downtown Disney) and the cost was $75
When doing this in the UK, the cost was £50 outbound

Thanks for that mark, I may get lucky.
Never seen any signs telling you can purchase the exit seats. Most other charter airlines do this and you can normally book them online.
We managed to get exit seats with Delta.
We did it online at the time of booking the flights.
We didnt get charged extra.
We did have to answer a few questions regarding health and age etc.
