Orens First Florida Trip - part 4 (updated)

    Day 5

Well not much to say about today as we had a rest day today and just hung out at Terra Verde. The pool has now re-opened as the the pump has been fixed unfortunately the Taylor curse is at work again and the heater is broken meaning both hot tub and pool are cold
;-( This does not stop the girls though although we do have to keep warming them up however as their lips are turning blue! The adults are far too chicken though! There was a bit of drama when a poisonous snake was spotted by the pool lady, the staff came out and cornered it and a man with a very large machete chopped it in half!
Later on at tea time we went to Downtown Disney for food and a browse. The girls wanted Rain forest Cafe and Mother in Law wanted a cooked meal so a light meal turned into a pig out! We sat on the Gorilla side and I chose the appetizer sampler as a main couse as I fancied a bit of everything lol , Neil had ribs, Mother in Law had the same pot roast she always has, Sydney had mini hot dogs and Libby had more macaroni cheese! No pictures I am afraid as we forgot the camera. I also ended up buying a long sleeve top for each of the girls as we had forgotten jumpers also and the air con in this place is fierce!

Food eaten we caught the water taxi back to the car as Libby was bushed and we went straight back home to bed.

    Day 6

Today was forecast for cloud and chance of thunderstorms so we decided to try out Disney Quest as this is also included in the annual pass. The girls had wanted to do it last night but were too tired. Mother in law stayed back at the villa but we decided to take Oren – this was a mistake! Unfortunately no strollers are allowed so I had to carry him and there isn't really a lot for him to do. I managed to do an artist class where we learned to draw mickey with him on my lap but after that I had to sit out of everything. I left them to it and went to the top floor to feed him in the cafe. After a while they came to find me as Syd was hungry. We left Disney Quest to wander Downtown Disney in search of a snack. We settled on Wetzel Pretzel and I tried the jalapeño hot cheese pretzel, the others had Wetzel dogs –(hot dog wrapped in pretzel)

We had intended to go back into Disney Quest but it started to rain and the stroller park is outside with no cover. I didn't fancy coming out to a soaked stroller especially as it wasn't mine so we headed home.

After a rest and a shower we headed out for dinner – tonight we decided on Red Lobster.
It was a little wait for a table and I had to give Oren his bottle in the lobby as he wouldn't wait!

Waiting done we ordered – I had a new mango mai tai to drink and it was gorgeous! so I had two! I went for a Seafood sampler with lobster, shrimp and scallops, Neil had chicken with rice pilaf and the girls went for snow crab legs, mother in law had a mushroom/lobster starter. You also get free salad and warm cheese biscuits here so be careful not to over order.

Everything was good but unfortunately we forgot the camera again! so no food piccies sorry but we may go back again. Food eaten we dropped in the chemist for a couple of things and then we went home to bed.

Pics to be added later when we get a chance, honest.

loving your trip reort Heidi, but like the others sorry you have no heating heating in the pool and tub, am sure it will soon be fixed, bit surprised they chopped the snake up, when we were there we had a giant what looked like cockroach and it was in the water, the pool people got a net and got it out and moved it far away......im afraid i would've been upset at seeing the snake killed....... but i suppose they have so many its just what they do....
wish we were going to Terra Verde again this year, our boy Russ wont come this time as he only wants to stay at TV, but we are going to the gulf coast...... back next year im sure!!

looking forward to the next part Heidi dont forget camera!!
