Orens First Florida Trip - part 2

    Day 2
Well as you probably have guessed due to the photos posted earlier today we decided to visit Animal Kingdom. I surprised the girls with some outfits to wear and after some minor squabbles we set off. Our visit was set off to a flying start when we got the parking toll booth and were told we were 'dream parkers' today, we had got a small magic moment and were allowed to park in Peacock 1 right near the entrance, excellent!

We decided to head for the safari and hustled straight to the back of the park, unfortunately there was already a long wait so we got fastpasses instead and did the Pangani trail while we were waiting. Halfway round Libby decided she was starving so we needed to make a pit stop for coffee and the hugest muffins and sticky buns I have ever seen! We browsed some of the shops and Libby bought herself some mickey earings with her money, Sydney wanted to buy an african drum but this idea was quickly vetoed due to luggage space!

Soon it was our time to fastpass it onto the safari and we made our way onto the jeep, we saw some great animals and Oren enjoyed it so much he fell asleep! After a few hours in the park we were all beat and we decided to call it a day and return to Terra Verde for a swim.

The girls loved the pool and made a friend while Neil and I used the wifi and drank some coffee from the clubhouse. The temperature of the pool is a bit cool and the Tiki Bar is not presently open which is a bit of a blow for us but the girls are not put off by this!

After some rest and relaxation we got ready to go out for dinner, we decided to pop to Walgreens on the way as I needed some nappies and wipes for Oren. After settling on Chillis we waited a few minutes for a table and then sat down. I was drinking tonight so I ordered myself an Appletini ala JD on scrubs lol! I plumbed for chicken fajitas Neil had a burger and the girls went for macaroni cheese and pizza, no change there then! Everything was good and we left full and happy ready for another nights sleep. Some food photos especially for you mizzy :-)

    Day 3
Today we were still up bright and early courtesy of the kids so washed and dressed we had breakfast in the villa and set of for the newly renamed Disney Hollywood Studios. I had two more outfits for the girls to wear to the park, Cars for Libby and Hannah Montana for Sydney. We entered the park and headed straight for terror of tower and rocking rollercoaster, no one would go on the terror of tower with Neil so him and Sydney went on standby on rocking rollercoaster while the rest of us waited. They came off having waited for the front car and also with a fastpass for later!

That done we popped in a shop so Libby could blow some cash on more rubbish and then carried on to the hat where we had intended on showing Oren some characters however as we arrived they had started setting up for the High School Musical show, we bagged prime seats at the front for the kids and were also invited for some photos with some HSM props :-)
The show was fab and Sydney was picked to dance with the cast members 3 times! Libby had the chance but was not up for it and ran back through the crowd petrified that she would be made to dance!

We moved on to shopping in the hat and much to our advice to the contrary Sydney blew all her holiday dollars on a Gabriella doll that she could have got in Walmart much cheaper. As we paid for the doll all the characters came out and Oren met Daisy Duck and Minnie Mouse and we got some lovely family pictures. By the time we had finished it was time for the rockin rollercoaster fastpass but Oren needed feeding so we split up and I headed for Writers corner for a coffee and a peanut butter cookie while I fed Oren. That done and the others back we wandered on through the park where we bumped into the power rangers, the girls are not interested so Neil dared me to pose for a photo with the pink power ranger so I did lol!
The girls requested to play in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground so I headed off to change Oren's nappy while Neil wat

Loving your trip reports. If you go back to chillies you must try the molten chocolate cake. Think that is what it is called. My daughter and I share it, its really nice.[msntongue] The mixed fajitas with the beef chicken and prawn are yum in chillies too. [msnsmile2]
