    Car Hire

The cheapest deal we can get on hiring a car seems to be with Holiday Autos. I know they are a broker rather than a rental company and I think you get a voucher which is given to the rental company in US. Has anyone experienced any problems with this system. Seem to remember some problems in the press with this but can't remember the name of the company.
    Thanks - Jenni

    Hi Jenni,

I can't believe that Holiday Autos would be cheaper than the link on this site for car hire, or Airline Network (www.netflights.com). I have no links with either company, and have never previously booked car hire with either, but at the moment their rates seem the keenest. I tend not to look at Holiday Autos as for the last few years, and despite their advertising, they always seemed well of the mark.

Just done a quick comparison between Holiday Autos and one of the firms mentioned in previous post for the next holiday we are taking. No guesses as who looses out by £234!! I know where that money could be spent while in Florida!!!!

PS hope I am not outrageously flouting any forum rules with these postings, but trying to be as fair as possible.

Have to agree with MTP on this, Airline Network for our 7 seater Mini Van in November/December were unbeatable (over £80 cheaper)

I always use www.yescarhire.com (or .co.uk), they always seem to qoute the cheapest I can ever find, and the cars are with Dollar which I prefer also.

    Hi Matt,

They were certainly competitive, but £20 more than the best quote I found. I think that a lot of the companies use Dollar in Florida (in my experience). I know Alamo is popular for UK hirers renting cars through various agents for locations throughout the US and at my last visit Alamo were on airport (at MCO) this may not cause such a problem for many travellers choosing between the two. In fact I think a couple of other companies are now also on-Airport, I am sure some of better informed folks out their will know more info about this and correct me if I am wrong.

    Best wishes,

    Euan

Last sunday (26th) booked 19 days car hire at easter with netflights.com, they were cheaper than holidayautos/suncars and a few others. Just checked Matts yescarhire, and they are bang on the same price.
