    First timer question

OK. I am going to Orlando for the first time at the end of May.
We are staying at Windsor Hills in a 5 Bedroom Villa.
I have been reading about eating out in Orlando (My favourite pastime !!)
I will probably not be able to suppress my curry craving for a fortnight.
Which is a decent indian restaurant in Orlando ?
Most of the ones I have found on the web has expensive food and poor reviews. I trust you veterans to put me straight.
Also If I fancy a couple of Margaritas one night is it possible to get a taxi to a local hostelry for a reasonable price ?
    Thanks
    Leighton

Try a search to see previous threads on this subject. There are a few 'OK' places but the consensus seems to be that you won't find a really good Indian restaurant in Orlando or even in Florida as a whole. I've certainly never found one and it isn't for want of searching.

Pity, because I'm a big curry fan as well.

Thank you sir for your response
Perhaps I wil have an indian meal before going on the plane and hope it will tide me over for 2 weeks !!!

I bet there are plenty of other eating establishments I can eat at !!

What about taxis etc are they easy and reliable ?

    Cheers

I'm sure there are excellent taxi services but I haven't used any myself so can't give you any recommendations.

Taxis are plentiful and reasonable-watch for special offers-At Chili's restaurant/diner they have a 2 4 1 Cocktail Happy Hour that when we went lasted all day!!
    Enjoy!

There is a good Indian restaurant less than 1m north of 192 on H27 at Cagans Crossing. Sorry, can't remember the name.

Could it be Sangams Mark, as we used to like the food there. It used to be at the entrance to Esprit on the US 27, but then closed and I heard it was moving to Caguns Crossing.

Has the indian opened at Cagans Crossings? It wasn't open at Christmas. Hopefully it will be good they are 'English Indians' that own it we were talking to them in the wine shop that they also own.

The Margaritas in Chillis are very good and it's quite pleasant sitting at the bar in there. Can't recommend a taxi as we havn't used one.

We once tried the Indian take away near publix on the US 27 it wasn't very nice and the majority of it was onions. [V]

Also one of the comments a guest left in our visitors book was 'avoid Indian on 192'.[msnsad]
