    Dollar Express.Advice needed please.

    Hi all.
I have been using this site for the last few months to help sort out my families first Disney trip and it's been a life saver.[clap]

I have a question that i hope someone can answer for me.
We've booked our car through Virgin,(platinum package) can we still use our nice shiny Dollar express card that arrived today or have i wasted my time as i've booked it through the travel agency.

    Nick.

Hi Gee, someone else will probably be along later with a more definitive answer but from looking through this forum i don't think you will be able to use it as you booked through the agency. Not sure if i'm allowed to posts links or not but if i am the following is a link to a thread about dollar express and it says bout using dollar express if you booked through a travel agent. http://www.orlando-guide.info/forums...39&whichpage=2

Yes you can. Just go to the Dollar Express queue.

Essentially all Dollar do with the express card is log all the personal details they need (ie address and licence number) and any preference you have selected against you card number. When you "show up" to check in they use your dollar ref number to pull up your details. This saves the agent entering them each time.

So it won't be a concern for dollar where you sourced the rental through.

One thing you may want to think about is if you have all of your insurances paid up front or whether you have to pay anything when you get to the US. Cars sourced through this site are all fully pre-paid and therefore nothing to pay at the US end. I suggest you call the company you booked through to see if there is anything to pay at the US end

    Thx for the info.
We've paid up for insurance and everything else we need including a tank of fuel.
I didn't want to get in the express lane at the airport only to be told i should of registered my card or something.I've been looking forward to this holiday for a very, very long time and i want everything to go as smooth as possible

Once again thank you for putting my mind at rest.[clap]

if you've booked through virgin holidays you go to a dedicated virgin desk at mco to collect your car. This is opposite the normal dollar desk. They dont have an express queue however your dollar express registration will speed things up a bit as they already have your details stored on their computer (sometimes!)
