    Charter seasonal flights

I have just been told by my brother that Thomas cook (inc Mytravel) will no longer do the Orlando routes during the winter months. Other charter airlines might follow.

I feel this is a bad mistake as I have always flown on their flight during the winter and the planes are always full. Maybe they are not making any money on those routes.

Less choice can only mean better news for Virgin as they would have the manopoly out of Manchester.

Well there are always USA AIRLINES as their prices are as competived and at the moment seem to be cheaper .

Don't Virgin and some of the other charters do the same in Scotland and only fly peak dates, not sure about now but I am sure it used to be the case?

All airlines, scheduled or charter have summer and winter schedules, summer running from when the clocks change in March till they change back in October and winter from Oct-March[msnsmile2]

I suppose this could mean that other airlines will increase their bookings and they may hike up their prices if they know there is less choice for flights.[V]

You would think there would be sfficient passengers out of Manchester to make these flights viable. The problem with US Airlines out of Manchester is the flights are indirect. The last day of our holidays are too valuable to us to be sat in an airport somewhere half way back.
