Wedding Evening Meal......your help pls!

Hello everyone

Would really appreciate your ideas and help for the meal on the evening of our wedding.

There will be 12 of us, which includes 2 children aged 6+7 (who eat anything apart from spinach, good kids eh?!!!) We would like to eat somewhere, where afterwards you could see some of the Disney fireworks, however, we can't be IN the park because four of our party are coming up from Sarasota for the day and won't have park tickets.

We have thought about Downtown Disney or Disney Boardwalk, but am a bit confused about these area's, their location in respect of seeing some fireworks, what other activities they offer etc.....

So any advice you can give would be invaluable, and of course recommendation of yummy restaurants![msntongue]

The California Grill in Disney's Contemporary resort would be good, fab food and there is a high level outside viewing platform for Magic Kingdoms fireworks, they also lower the restaurant lights and pipe in the music.

Right .... do we need park tickets to gain access to that restaurant?

No park tickets needed , I am sure you can just telephone and book we went there last year to Chef Mickeys the food was O.K but not sure what the food is like in the Grill never been?

You don't need park tickets to eat at the California Grill as it is not actually in the park but in a hotel that you can see the fireworks from. Go to Disney's website, check out the time of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom on the day in question and then phone up to book your meal to coincide with the fireworks.

Or eat at the Polynesian,[ you could book the Luaha] and sit on the Beach with a cocktail afterwards to watch the fireworks and water pageant

If you are on a more limited budget you could try Ohana at the Polynesian which is a fixed price menu and where they have games for the children
