We have got a Nissan Maxima. John wasn't too thrilled at having a Nissan to start with but it is a very nicely finished car and ideal for us this trip as we have my mother with us and it is very comfortable, has room for the wheelchair and the air conditioning can be controlled for different parts of the car so we can all be comfortable. Probably not the most exciting car in the world but we are very pleased. We were very surprised to get a brand new car as we thought the Budget fleet tended to be older. We were offered a choice of cars but took the newest one.

In the past Budget used to replace cars when they reached 2 years old. The are now pushing to change the cars after 6 months like Dollar and Alamo already do. Most cars are now on this replacement schedule.

I notice that the pre-registration also asks for options. Should this section be left blank on the basis that they are already included in the Gold Service or selected on the strength that they have already been paid for?

I'm also presuming the credit card information is for security and/or additional charges if the car was late back etc?

Having read all the comments I'm still a little unsure what happens with the second driver? The pre-registration doesn't ask for any information so will the second driver details appear on the budget rental agreement that is handed over with the vehicle?
