Could anyone tell me how far Thousand Oaks is from Disney & Universal.And how long it honestly takes to travel to the parks.

Welcome to the forum.

My home is on Thousand Oaks and it is 8.5 miles from it to Disney Maingate on World Drive. How long it takes to drive those miles depends on what time of day you travel. I usually drive it in just over 10 minutes, using Interstate 4, providing it's not rush hour time (8am to 9am). Hope this helps.[msnsmile2]

I too have a home in Thousand Oaks. It's a really easy drive to Disney, and Universal with only one set of lights between us and Disney.

As Carla says, assuming normal traffic just over 10 minutes. Universal is further up the Interstate 4 and about 20 minutes from Thousand Oaks.

The good thing about Thousand Oaks is that it's easy to reach other places too, using back roads - eg Walmart and Outlets.

There is also a fab supermarket and some restaurants just 5 minutes away.
