I have changed my weighin day to Wednesday evening instead of Thursday morning. Going on Wednesday means I can stay for the meeting and be inspired.

I have lost 1lb, now I know you're all going to say well done but I really don't feel I'm doing it right, I feel like I'm giving this 100% and even eating out on Sunday I wasn't over the top and was careful about the foods I ate.

Back in week 1 I lost 3lb, after week 1 I tried cutting sandwiches out for lunch and instead made pasta with either a little tuna or chicken, counting the mayo as syns. This week I am going to follow the plan I did for the first week and see if this helps.

I know a lb loss is OK but when you have quite a few stone to loose I'm expecting a little more.

Anyway today was a green day
    Food diary today....green again
    Quaker Oats HE B
    Milk 2x HE A
Tuna pasta for dinner 2 1/2 syns for mayo
Tea Egg chips and beans.....slimming world chips.
Plenty of fruit throughout the day and 2 muller lights....dinner and tea.[msnwink]

Paula, firstly well done on your loss[clap][clap][clap] secondly if you think your loss is slow you need to look at your diary closely to check if there are any hidden syns, then to check your portion sizes (you should eat to satisfy your appetite) next look at your weighing and measuring of all syns and HE's, is your pasta dry pasta or fresh (it should be dry) is the tuna fresh or tinned, if tinned is it in brine or water and not in oil, did you measure out the mayo. was it light or extra light? Was your tea all dry fried/roasted etc etc you get my drift

These questions and fine tuning of your diary will ensure a better loss and also check your exercise, are you doing any? if you are not then doing a little exercise will fire up your met rate and will get things moving etc etc

I remember weighing in once at my sw group and not losing much and as I walked away from the scales my consultant said under her breath to the weigh in lady "well if you do the plan 100% you WILL lose weigh weight" her comment hurt like hell but I went home and studied my book again and did a truly 100% week and I lost 3lbs[msnwink]

    Hope this helps?[grouphug]

Thanks Julie. I do only use dry pasta and tuna in brine. If I do fry anything it is either dry or frylight. Maybe my portion sizes especially at dinner time are on the large size[msnembarrased]

    Will step up the excercise[msnsmile2]

i would try adding in a few red days paula and see how you get on plus try to eat a wide variety of foods as possible, when you look at the free foods list there are some marked with a "s" and "ss" these are speed and super speed foods which are good choices to help speed up your weight loss

1lb a week is very good and you should be proud of your loss, well done [clap]

can i ask do they have one of those 2lbs simulated blocks of fat at class? if so can you imagine wanting that 1lb stuck back on your stomach or bum[msnembarrased] i always think like this when i've just lost a 1lb and looking at the block imagining it back on my still overly large butt makes me realise that 1lb is actually quite a lot

stay positive mrs and you will see another loss next week [clap]

Yes we do Marie, I had both the girls with me at the meeting tonight and Caitlin was asking what is was. I told her I lost 2 and 3 quarters of that and she was very impressed.
I got some HiFi bars tonight and they both sat through the meeting munching on them[msnmad] Tony was working in South Wales today and was late home so they had to come too.

If I'd had scales at home and seen only a lb loss before class I wouldn't have gone tonight so the fact Tony got rid of them when I joined back is a Godsend.

Normally I would have been disheartened and came home and had a chocolate biscuit but I haven't, I'm just as deterimed now as I was three weeks ago.

Good advice from Marie too plus you got weigh later in the day when you would be heavier than in the morning group[msnwink]
