Pamela, the class you join is really down to personal choice, the only word of caution i would give is that if you join the one further away you could be tempted to use the distance as an excuse not to go when you've had a bad week or the weather is bad, i know that only too well [msnembarrased] especially after i lost being able to drive, a class round the corner means you never have that excuse, personally i would go and have a chat with the ladies that are running the class and see if you get any good vibes for which class will suit you better, you may walk in the door of one and feel that class is right for you straight away, good luck [msnsmile]

Julie, how's the knee today, feeling any better yet? [grouphug]

Hi all, sorry not on much at the moment it's just too uncomfortable[msnsad]

Not much change in my knee Mizzy, the exercises really hurt and the crutches are making my under arm muscles very sore but it's early days[msnsmile]

Pam Monday classes suit some and do not suit others is a personal thing but like Mizzys says you maybe more inclined to go if it's close by but I also think it depends on the consultant[msnwink]

Food wise I am doing ok under the circumstances[msnsmile2]

Thanks Marie and Julie. The other class is not much further away - I wish there was some way of knowing which class has the best consultant in the area because this is much more important to me than the distance I need to travel. A number of years ago I used to go to a class with a brilliant consultant and I was getting on so well unfortunately she left and the group closed. I have never found a group with a particularly good consultant since [msnsad]

Not such a good day today - it is difficult when you are out and about and just grab a snack on the road. We went to St. Petersburg and visited the Manatee centre on the way.

Breakfast - 2 mini croissants with cheese slice
Lunch - 2 slices of cheese and tomato pizza
Evening meal - Soup and bread roll and cheese cake and icecream
Drinks - Black coffee, orange juice, water and 1 capuccino

Pamela, there's nothing stopping you having a chat with both consltants and/or sitting in on a class to see if you want to join, we often have new members who join after the class finishes and my consultant is always happy for people who aren't sure to sit in first, if you go the the SW website it will list the consultants phone numbers, just give them a ring and have a chat, alternatively you can join one class and get weighed in or transfer to another if you want to, i've been known to flit in and out of another consultants class when a particular class member at my own was begining to get me down

Brenda, the manatee centre sounds great, have you any pics you could post? please [bowwave] the ultimate on the road rushing about food Brenda?, fresh fruit, apples, bananas and such

    Julie [grouphug] for you

i've got a little problem, constipation [msnembarrased] a sneeky peek at the scales this morning tell me that i've worked very hard for very little this week [msnsad]

Hi all, Pam good advice from Mizzy there, also on the web site some consultants have a profile which may give you more of an idea of what they are like[msnwink]

Brenda sounds like you are having a good time[clap] I agree with Mizzy I always have a bag of fruit in my car and if going out and may not be able to grab something healthy I also add heathy cereal bars too[msnwink]

Julieanne well done you are staying in control[clap][clap][clap]

I am really angry this morning, my dressing on my knee has been really uncomfortable all weekend and I kept saying to DH that the disrtict nurse was suppose to change last Thursday when she took the big bandage off - when I suggested this to her at the time she said "oh no you don't need to change the dressing", even thought they gave me a dressing pack, well I have just had a letter from the hospital saying amoungst other things that she should have changed it[msnmad][msnmad][msnmad]

Anyway back to food and I have stayed the same this week so I am really pleased[clap][clap]

    Good luck tonight Mizzy[msnsmile2]

well done on staying the same Julie, i know what i would be doing in your situation i would be phoning the nurses boss to complain and insisting they get out here now and change this dressing, she obviously felt she knew better than the consultant who did the op[msnmad]
