    Hi all

Well I am back - again!! After a week with no internet I was beginning to feel like my arms had been chopped off [msnoo]

The weather here is awful at the moment. It is warm enough but it's sandstorm season so thick sand everywhere and not pleasant at all to be out in. I will be pleased when it is over and the warms up a little more so that I can start swimming again as I need some exercise.

I have been here 3 months already and enjoying it very much. It is a very different lifestyle and pace - but that's not always a bad thing.

I have been reading the food diaries that you have all been posting - trying to get some inspiration as I need to get back into it. It has taken me 3 months to find a fat free yogurt but I have bought some Ski D'lite. Need to check the syn value but they are 99% fat free so I am hoping that they will be low (or free). What I do miss is Quorn products - can't find meat free anything here (well I haven't so far)

Less than 3 months until I go to Florida and I am 6 lbs heavier than I was when I moved to Kuwait so I certainly have some work to do. Ironically enough tho - most of that weight went on AFTER we stopped eating out??? Not sure how that works???

Anyway I have to go for now. Not contacted any of the family since the internet was fixed so I had better let them know that we are all OK.

    Have a good night all

    Elaine

Well done Jan[clap][clap][clap] Big hug for Frances, I know you can do it[grouphug] Elaine welcome back again, its horrible without the internet, sounds like you are really ready to get back on track - it must be hard in a different country so very well done mrs[clap][clap]

I am so pleased with myself (sorry that sounds just a touch big headed[msnembarrased]) but I have had such a good day again today, I am weighing and measuring everything, not a thing pops in my mouth without it being recorded on my food diary and planned[clap]

Green day today but a very restrained one with smaller portions.......

    banana and actimel 1.5
starbucks skinny latte HEA - I have cut down from two to one[angel]
milk for small homemade latte and teas HEA
extra lean minced beef 71g (cooked weight) HEB made into a chilli with tons of peppers, mushrooms, tomato's, passata and kidney beans with boiled rice
home made banoffee pie made with a toffee muller light, a chopped banana and 1 Hovis digestive (crushed) biscuit 2 syns
    loads of blueberries
    lots of water[angel]

    total syns 2.5

Feeling sooooooo good about this week, (even more chuffed as its t.t.o.t.m[msnwink])

I really do need 2lbs off a week between now and Florida [clap]

Marie hope you are OK? You are quiet today[grouphug]

Well done everyone we can definitely do this[clap][clap][clap][clap]

    Well done Jan [clap][clap][clap]

For Frances [grouphug] - it is hard sometimes but what I do know from experience is that the ladies on here will always help when you are atruggling.

WOW Julie I need some of your energy please. I really wish there was a better selection of yogurts out here, especially Muller Lights as that banoffee dessert you made sounds gorgeous.

Those Ski D'Lite yogurts turned out to be 10 syns each [msnoo][msnoo][msncry][msncry] according to the syns calcuator on the SW site. Low in fat but unfortunately very high in sugars. So its back to the search on that front. I must admit I am gutted as I thought I had finally found something suitable.

Anyway it is almost 1 a.m here and I am up way too late considering I have to be up with the kids for school at 5.45 a.m. They leave a lot earlier for school over here and have to be on the bus by 6.30 [msneek]. DH is already up and out to work by the time I get up with the kids - all these early mornings are killing me [msnsad][msnsad]

    Good night all

    Elaine
