Julie - I may be wrong but I think the bread has to be wholemeal to be an HEB ?

[/quote]there is some wholegrain bread that can be a healthy B and that is nimble malted wholegrain 2 slices = 1 Healthy B
alternatively you could have 3 pagan wholegrain crisprolls OR 3 ryvita multigrain/ sunflower seeds and oats as 1 healthy B choice[msnsmile]
interestingly the above made me look at my new book and i was surprised to see more cereal bars as healthy b choices [clap]
they are for 1 healthy B
hi fi bar any variety
2 alpen light cereal bars any variety (21gm each)
1 kellogs all bran honey and oat bar (27gm)
2 ryvita goodness bars any variety (23gm each)
1 ryvita goodness luxury bar any variety (35gm bar)
This kind of thing is where I think I will run into problems with SW. I don't eat a lot of bread but when I do I love to have wholegrain or malted grain bread - wholemeal just doesn't do it for me [msnwink] Looks like I might have to have nimble malted wholegrain but when I've tried that in the past I haven't enjoyed it [msnsad]

As far as bread is concerned to be safe and as a general rule go for wholemeal not wholegrain unless you look it up and check, don't forget it's only 2 slices from a small loaf and 1 slice from a large loaf[msnwink]<blockquote id="quote" class="ffs">quote:Originally posted by julieanne

Julie have your tried Siansburys Wholemeal loaf that they bake on the premises its 99p for a large loaf and its yummy and very healthy as it does not have any sugar or salt added to it, I buy it for making the childrens lunches[msnwink]
Just an example of grained breads............
Marks & Spencer Bread, Multigrain, Bakers Farmhouse, 800g loaf 1 slice 6 syns - you could in theory have this as a healthy extra[msnwink]
Sainsbury's Wholemeal Multigrain Bread, 800g medium sliced loaf 1 slice 4 syns
Julie yesterday lunchtime we had lunch out and had some wild mushroom soup with 1 slice of what looked like Granary Bread to me how many syns do you think I should allow for that?
