I wasn't good to myself at all today. Too much party food around, but I was quite careful and wasn't a complete pig.
Tomorrow is another day and will get back on track.

if you can still try to syn it up Paula and then it will can counted as a "flexible syns day" i would carry on as normal from tomorrow and do NOT try to make up for it by eating too little or you can lead down a slippery slope to feeling deprived, parties and birthdays are always hard, well done for not going completely off the rails[msnsmile]
Well I am back after trying to keep todate with the posts whilst in Florida but haven't had much spare time so have done a lot of catching up this evening.
There are some fantastic weight losses - well done everyone [clap][clap][clap] The diet posts are such an inspiration -I only wish I could show such self control. I think my problem is I don't quite understand how the SW eating plan works. I was going to join with hubby but he is not interested and I don't think I have the confidence to go on my own. I probably need to try and coax a friend to come with me. So at the moment I am eating what I think is sensible.
I am going to a Champney's health farm in a couple of weeks for a few days so hopefully this will be the kick start I need. Until then I am going to try and be careful with my eating.
Sandra, have a wonderful time on your cruise, it will be great to hear all about it on your return.

Hope you have had a lovely birthday Pamela, and good luck with your going back to SW. You know it works.
I am still 'pigging out' and went to Uno's tonight for dinner. Goodness knows what I will weigh in 10 days time after the cruise.
Glad to see you got home safely Brenda.
Well done Julie on your 2lbs and hope your knee is improving slowl
Have a great weekend everyone.
Sandra
Thanks Sandra! Hope you have a great cruise you lucky thing[msnsmile2]
Brenda you will be fine joing a group on your own. Go onto the SW site and put in your postcode to find your nearest group. Then give the consultant a call for a chat and I'm sure she will put your mind at rest and make you feel really welcome. I have joined MANY groups on my own because all my friends are slim and even though I'm quite a shy person and very overweight I have always been made to feel welcome and 'normal' if you know what I mean. I must admit I would rather have somebody to go with (DH has joined with me this time but I doubt if that will last long!) but it is still ok on your own. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the encouragement, Pamela and Sandra[msnsmile] You are of course right, it is just taking that first step to a place that you are unfamiliar with that makes it more difficult. I am slightly nearer as I have now taken Pamela's advice and found the nearest group which is just a few miles from home and just need to call the consultant, Joanna.
I have a friend who needs to lose a few pounds prior to her son's wedding in June this year - it is going to be held in Italy on the Amalfi coast in Ravello - so I may be able to persuade her to come with me for the first few visits anyway. She introduced me to health farms many years ago and we try and go at least twice a year to be pampered and get fit.

i think once you have a chat with the consultant Brenda you will be reassured of a warm welcome, walking into a class for the very first time does take a lot of courage but if she knows you are coming i'm sure it will make it a little easier
if you can get your friend to go with you even better a "diet buddy" i have one of those on and off and it's great, that reminds me i must email her and check if she's had a mad weekend baking session or not, growing up in a bakery and being a cake addict is her biggest weekness
i'm having a good day so far, dh is out doing the food shop with a list and i'm supposedly having a spring clean of mine and the kids wardrobes [msnwink]
Having a not too bad day so far luckily nobody bought me chocolates for my birthday this year[msnsmile2] going out for a Thai meal tonight just the two of us so it won't be a boozy affair as previous birthdays have been. Going out for lunch tomorrow with friends who couldn't make it tonight - then no more excuses!!!!! Hopefully we will still show a loss of some sort on Thursday.
