I started at class agian this morning, it was funny to see faces I seen over two years ago back too. Now trying to sort out what I've eaten and what today will be, I am going to be better organized tomorrow though when I do my weekly shop.

Is this OK Julie and Marie?????

    Breakfast Quaker Oats HC A
with semi skimmed milk and of course plenty of coffee through out the day 2x HC A

Dinner was 2 peices of seeded batch bread toasted with half tin of beans and a poached egg. 4 syns for bread, beans and egg were free.

Tea will be a Jacket potato, broccolli and pork steak (Lean and grilled from HC B Muller light which I believe is free on a green day.

I know it looks pretty boring but I've bought a recipe book and will be following that for the rest of the week.
It would have been very easy to put it off till I've done my shopping tomorrow but wanted to get going today.

i think that looks about right Paula, today looks like a green to me

oats is a healthy B as is the pork on green days so you have the two of them

milk is your healthy a's and for semi skimmed you can have 350ml for one healthy A

most mullerlights are free on both days some "cake" type ones have the odd half syn, you could chop a banana into it to make it a bigger snack or dessert and sometimes the odd ginger biscuit crushed will make enough topping for about 4 of these, adding a crunchy top for only 1/2-1 syn per yogurt [msntongue]

how about syns?, you've had a good day so treat yourself, believe me when i tell you skipping the syns does not give you any quicker a loss, it just leads you onto that feeling deprived path which is a no go area

i always have a end of the day congratulatory treat and having it to look fwd too helps keep me on track [msnwink]

want to finish off by saying a BIG CONGRATLATIONS Paula, it's always hard taking that first step into class, well done [clap]

Julieanne, good luck for tomorrows weigh in i'm sure you will see some rewards for all your hard work [msnsmile2]

I was looking at what we had in to use as syns and I found a little packet of chocolate digestives, thought I'd have them until I seen the syn content then I thought I'd best not.
My leader told me to try and have 7 syns a day.

I've just been looking through some recipes so I'll make a shopping list tonight and go shopping in the morning.

Hiya ladies, been an eventful holiday! Flood back home 2 days into the hols, spent so much time on the phone to the gals and insurance companies etc. Now have half a dozen humidifiers and fans on the go 24hrs for up to 8 weeks.

Good news is we are getting the hall, stairs and landing completely redecorated and re-carpeted, just waiting to see what they are going to do about the bathroom floor. Had expensive carpet down and Anna French wallpaper, so will be interesting to see what they are offering.

On the florida front, weather was v disappointing, last day and day we left were the best[msnsad]. The frost of a few weeks ago had taken it's toll on our shrubs, so all the lovely flowering plants that were 4 - 5' around the pool are now half the size with almost no flowers! We filled up 24 black bin liners within the first few days.

Re the beast, think it is a raccoon looking at the pawprints. To try and sort the problem out DH installed plastic trellis round the screens, only 2' high, so we shall see if this is enough to deter our intrepid "guest"!

Just back from the hospital, my leg opened up while on the plane journey out, and been oozing all the time. A couple of stray stitches that have not dissolved were removed today and now taking a course of antibiotics.

Booked my next op (golly I do so hope this is the last one) for early April, so am now back on track as cannot believe how much I seem to have put on while in Florida. Wouldn't mind but I was eating omelettes for breakfast and loads of fruit and salads. Must have been the slow decline into 1 or 2 drinks a night and the occasional maccydees when pushed for time[V].

So as from tomorrow, the whip is being cracked in this house!

    Julie are you ok?

OMG I have missed so much in just a few hours[msneek]

Paula well done on your first day[clap][clap] Looks good to me but I would double check your syns for the seed batch bread as I know they come out very high and remember its 1 slice from and 800g loaf = HC B or syns[clap]

Paula my advice to you is to try to get bread off the menu most of the time and try to swap it for much more filling alternatives[msnwink]

Also I honestly feel that 7 syns is too little for what you want to lose, I would advise 10-15 a day and then in the future when you are well into your weight loss journey you still have the option of dropping your suns down a little if needs be[msnsmile2] As I said in my dm it's great to have you back[clap][clap][clap]

Mizzy sorry to correct you but is 350mls of SKIMMED and 250mls for SEMI Skimmed = Health Extra A, plus of course your cheese also = HE A's and on a green day you can also have cheese as a HE B[msnwink]

Nikki welcome back and well done on your Fab First Week[clap]

Fiona thanks for asking, slowly but surely for me thanks, but how about you mrs what a few weeks you have had OMG! Hope your leg is ok now and everything else gets sorted out soon - you deserve a break[grouphug][grouphug][grouphug]

    Green day for me again.......

    banana and actimel 1.5
    skinny lattes HE A's
spinach pasta again 0.5 HE B for olive oil
fish no batter HE B and potato wedges
    grapes
    extra small latte 4 syns
    cadburys highlights for later 4.5

    total syns 11[angel]

    Julie,
I used the syns calculater on the website to work out the syns in the bread, will check again later.

I am aiming to take bread out of my diet but today was just going with what i had in. Hopefully tomorrows food plan will look alot more interesting[msnsmile2]

I know I don't want to sound critical, just so want you to succeed so it's just the benefit of knowledge and what I have seen working for members of my group[msnsmile]

Don't forget about syns too don't go too light on them too soon [msnwink]

sorry Julie i mean't to type skimmed milk[msnembarrased] it's what i use myself so why i typed semi i'll never know, must have had a lapse in concentration, i agree about the bread Julie it's a killer and something i am trying to cut down on myself

you too Nikki, well done on your first weeks weight loss[clap][clap][clap]

i've had a 100% day but have felt down for most of it, this morning we went to have new passport pictures taken and i was so shocked with mine, i look old, fat and moon faced, my hair is a mess so that's getting the chop and after a new hair cut next week i'll have them retaken not that i'm expecting miracles but with my old hair back i will go in feeling positive

I didn't think you were being critical Julie which is why I've rejoined this group, the advise given by all you experts is what I need right now.[msnsmile2]
