well done on the weight loss Frances [clap]

Fiona, you work far too hard remember to have a rest mrs when you eventally get away, or else[msnwink]

Julie, i really struggle with the early mornings too [grouphug] but i'm coping much better now, i'm being weened of one of my medications and the old me is slowly coming back, i feel so much stronger and better and more "with it" on a morning than i used to be, even my GP noticed how much brighter i was yesterday [msnsmile] you have to remember mrs that at the moment you are not well and at your best and i'm sure that once you have your surgery and get back to a routine you will soon be feeling better too [grouphug]

Brenda, sorry you have been unwell but good to hear you are on the mend, i think it's going to be a battle with your husband and you may have to hide those car keys, if you have a glance at the SW website there is a 7 day trial menu with a shopping list to get you both started, i would suggest you find a healthy alternative to your husbands favourite meal, cook it without mentioning that it's a healthier version and then make your case that it can be done, we will be here to support you if you need any tips and remember even small changes can make a differnce[msnsmile]

Julieanne, have you been on those scales yet?, come on now, deep breath, get on them because you know that you want to[msnsmile2]

We have an armadillo outside our pool cage haven't seen it yet and it hasn't actually done any damage but there's always a big mound where it has been burrowing everytime we go out. I asked the pest control man what he thought it was and he confirmed probably an armadillo.

Hi all, packing, I wish! Been down to Bournemouth again to carry on clearing out MILs flat, hospital appointment at Mount Vernon yesterday for MRI scan for ED, and another appointment tomorrow am. In between loads of meetings at work while we finalise everything before we leave the builders at work for the 11 days we are away. Also had ads to write, copy for website etc which needed to be done before Friday.

Following any sort of food plan has gone out the window, but am looking forward to Florida and hoping we can chill out and relax and will get focused again. Although having trouble with some wildlife in the pool area, they have wrecked newly repaced pool screens and poop on the deck and in the pool. Will keep you posted how we get on with "the beast" (possibly a raccoon or armadillo). I think DH and I will be outside late at night trying to catch sight of it - we have been advised to try moth balls or coyote urine down the burrows (3 of them so far)!!

Good luck anyone being weighed tomorrow, have a good day all, and if you can't be good be careful!

Thanks for all the kind "get well" words - it has cheered me up no end[msnsmile]

I have also shown hubby all the valuable advice provided by all the posts above but hubby is one of those people who just stick their head in the sand and hope it goes away. I don't think I am going to get anywhere by bringing up the subject so often so am just going to start cooking sensibly and buying food that is healthy - perhaps he will be eating healthily but won't know its happening[msnwink]

The weather here has not been so good with high winds and rain so the excuse of not walking has gone today as we had lovely sunshire this morning and he did walk to the shops [clap]

Thanks for all the tips they have been a great help to me, at least.

I don't know if this has been posted before or used by others but I have found a website which I think is really great for analysing what you are eating and which also gives you suggestions on how to change. I thought at first it was just a gimmick but I have just had my analysis returned and it is spot on. It also looks at the vitamins and minerals you get from the food and how this is balanced with the normal requirements. Worth having a look I think:

A number of acadamic institutions are involved which I think gives it some credence. It is totally free, although at the end of the profile they do advertise certain vitamins, so must get some funding from this source.
