New Mustang from Dollar

We've been used to getting a usefully spacious Dodge Caliber from Dollar recently so we were surprised to end up with a brand new Ford Mustang this week.
It certainly looks the business and has a 4 litre v6 motor under the tinwork at the front end.
However it sounds and goes like a Ford Escort, very tame, and the rear seat access, amongst other things, is diabolical.
OK if there are only 2 of you, if, like us, you have 3 people and 2 cases each its an extremely tight squeeze.
The Dollar rental clerk wished us luck getting it all in but she had no other cars available at all.

We booked a mustang earlier this year as there was just the two of us and thought we would look like James Bond etc. The car was gorgeous and brand new but unfortunately we decided to change it after around 5 days as the luggage situation was desperate and we didn't feel safe leaving suitcases in the back seat with only a soft top to protect them. My husband (who has a bad hip) had great trouble getting in and out of the car so looks like we are back to our 4 x 4's or 7 seaters for future. I was also there a few weeks ago with my mother and sisters and booked a 7 seater and have to say thanks again to this site's car rental service for a beautiful brand new (and white!) 7 seater. Great service!
