Car Hire Desk Opening Times

We have guests from Sweden, who do not Land at Orlando International Airport until 00.45.

They have just contacted me, as they are trying to sort out their Car Hire and have been told that none of the Car Hire Companies at the Airport are open at this time, Is this Correct ? I am sure that we were once delayed and didn't arrive until the early hours of the morning and still hired a Car at the airport.

One option our guest is considering, is to get a Taxi to the Villa and then hire a car the next day. If they decide to do this, can they still book through US Car Hire and pick the car up somewhere other than the airport ?

Could someone also tell me where the closest place to highway 27 is to collect the car from ?

You can definitely choose on the booking form where you want to collect and drop-off the car, and they can both be different if need be. There are several locations in the tourist area's (Both Alamo and Dollar have an office on the 192).

As for the early hours pick-up, I'd find it hard to believe that they won't be able to pick up a car 24 hours a day at an airport such as MCO but I haven't had first hand experience so someone else will have to confirm 100%.

On the first screen of www.floridahire.com (at the top of each forum page) where you input your date and time of arrival choices, these options are 24 hours per day so not sure where they can be looking that says they're closed?

They are open 24 hours. We have collected cars at all hours.

Both Dollar and Alamo are 24/7 at Orlando International so there should be no problems with a late arrival.

Most of the desks close around midnight at Sanford, but Orlando is 24 hours. The only exception at Orlando is U-Save who close at midnight and are off-site.

I will make a note that the Car Hire Desks at Sanford close at Midnight.
